Rudolph candy bar wrapper

Hi Crafty Pals,

The final countdown for the holidays has finally set in in our house, we put up the tree, the turkey is sorted and gifts are slowly being wrapped.

Today's project is CASE'd from Tami White who made a great video Rudolph Spares. Some of the colours are now retired, so I improvised and hope I did the original justice.

I changed the Close to Cocoa to Crumb Cake and I used Early Espresso ink instead of Chocolate Chip as I'm still building up my stash.

Another change I made was instead of having spare noses I gave him a scarf/collar from the Cherry Cobbler tulle ribbon in the 2012 Holiday Catalogue. Finally I used the Extra Large Oval Punch instead of a larger circle as I wanted to make it a little different.

I don't have the Tulip Big Shot die (it's retired) so I used something else so apologies that this project isn't 100% Stampin' Up!®.

Since I am giving a gift card as part of a present I decided to follow the other video mentioned so I could attach it to the back of Rudolph.

Ingredients

Card Stock: Chocolate Chip, Crumb Cake, Basic Black, Whisper White and Real Red

Punches/Die Cuts: 1/2" Circle, 1" Circle, Scallop Border and Extra Large Oval

Classic Stampin' Pad®: Early Espresso

Accessories: SNAIL Adhesive®, Stampin' Dimensionals®, White gel pen, Cherry Cobbler 3 1/2" Scalloped Tulle Ribbon and Dazzling Details

If you wanted to try the project out for yourself and need some supplies I'd love to be your demonstrator. You can visit my online shop or contact me by email, can't wait to hear from you.

Have a great day and keep crafting.

Make a mitten - holiday cards at last

Hi Crafty Pals,

Well those who know me have an idea how good a procrastinator I am, but when the last posting date looms even I have to get into gear. I love creating, but sometimes other things get in the way so I have to put crafting plans on hold.

I'm a big fan of batching cards (making lots the same) so to make it easy, but still looking good I decided to use the Mitten Builder punch from the 2012 Holiday Catalogue and the Make Mitten stamp set.

I think they work really well with the Snow Festival Designer Series Paper especially the side which looks a bit like a sweater pattern.

Ornamental Elegance Kit

Hi Crafty Pals,

Edit -- Unfortunately this has now sold out and I didn't get one either :( Lesson learned Next time I'll place my order straight away.

Wow as if all of the recent promotions, bundles and other amazing happenings aren't enough Stampin' Up!® have launched the Ornamental Elegance kit just in time for festive decorating.

The ornament on the cover of the Stampin' Up! 2012 Holiday Catalogue has been such a hit that they have made it available for us all -- as we begin to deck the halls. The fun project has been simplified so that we can quickly and easily achieve the same results.

In addition to the kit, you'll need a glue gun, scissors and adhesive, the Anywhere Glue Sticks are perfect.

The kit contains enough supplies to create 10 heirloom ornaments to use as decorations or as stunning tags on a special neighbours gift.

The Ornamental Elegance kit is $17.95 and includes
  • Die-Cut Cardstock Elements
  • Cherry Cobbler 3-1/2" Scalloped Tulle Ribbon
  • Natural Linen Thread
  • Vintage Faceted Designer Buttons
  • Large Pearl Basic Jewels.
Please note the kit is only available while supplies last and I guess they'll be flying off the shelves. You can order it directly from my online store or email me if you prefer.

I'll be ordering a set and will be referring to the detailed instructional pdf as I like to have the pictures to follow along with (I'm the same with build-it-yourself furniture).

If you want to do some coordinating greeting or place cards take a look at the Ornament Keepsakes Stamp Set (Wood-Mount or Clear-Mount).

Happy crafting
Melanie
