Hi Crafty Pals,
Wow how quickly time flies and even though we had an extra long weekend due to the snow on Friday things have crept up on me! I can't believe the Paper Craft Crew challenge #28 deadline is swiftly approaching, but hopefully I'll get my blog written and the link up in time.
This week was one of the double challenges as they gave us a sketch (see below) and a colour palette. I find those with a colour component a little more difficult as I don't have too many different sets of Designer Series Paper so then I get stuck for backgrounds.
My interpretation and I apologise for the lousy photo, but as I left it so late the lighting wasn't the best and I couldn't get the flash to go!
I tried to make my own background this week using the 'arrow' stamp from the Oh, Hello set and the Stamp-A-Ma-Jig and though it doesn't look much I was pleased with how it turned out.
The greeting on the banner is stamped with the Illuminate Glimmer Watermark Stampin' Pad®. It was the first time I used it and in the right light it looks gorgeous. I loved it so much I used it on the embossing and with another of the Oh, Hello stamps.
The sketch I was inspired by is below and the challenge colours were So Saffron, Wild Wasabi and Perfect Plum.
Ingredients
Designer Series Paper and Card Stock: So Saffron, Perfect Plum, Wild Wasabi and Whisper White
Stamps: Oh Hello!, Itty Bitty Banners and Make a Cake
Punches/Die Cuts: Bitty Banners Framelits, Oval Collection Framelits, Buttons #5 Sizzlits and corner rounder
Accessories: Designer Frames Textured Impressions Embossing Folder
Keep crafting

December Thank you cards
Hi Crafty Pals,
I did mention in another post that I had a couple of projects on the go and here is the second one. I'll be sending one of these cards to all of my December customers as a thank you for choosing me as your demonstrator.

I used the Stampin' Up!® Notecards as my base card as I hadn't used them before, I think the layout would also look nice on a standard 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 card base. I took the inspiration for these from Stamping Smiles, but as I don't have all the same ink colours I made a substitution.
Just as a note even though in the video she reminds you to leave the craft ink to dry I didn't leave mine long enough so did get a few smudges, but fortunately I was able to hide them with the bird topper. I must remember to use my heat gun to set the craft ink in the future or just be more patient!
Ingredients
Card Stock: Marina Mist (119682), Midnight Muse (126843) and Whisper White (100730)
Stamps: Betsy's Blossoms Clear-Mount (126006) and Itty Bitty Banners Clear-Mount (126257)
Punches/Die Cuts: Bitty Banners Framelits (129267)
Classic Stampin' Pad®: Marina Mist (126962), Midnight Muse (126860) and White craft (101731)
Accessories: Stampin' Dimensionals® (104430), SNAIL Adhesive® (104332), Whisper White Notecards and envelopes (107311)
Don't forget if you want to buy any Stampin' Up! products I'd love the opportunity to become your chosen demonstrator so please visit my online store or email me.
Take care and keep crafting

World Card Making Day - My project
Hi,
Well Saturday was World Card Making Day so I hope you all managed to grab a few minutes to yourself and make something beautiful.
I spent a bit of time tidying up and then decided to make a thank you card as we have a school event coming up towards the end of October and I wanted to be prepared for once!

Same as my sticky notes holder I had photo troubles - I think I need more light on the card and a better background. I stood it on my chest freezer and propped up a piece of card behind. Maybe my card making won't improve but my pictures will.
